Résultats et livrables attendus

Phase 1 – Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.

Phase 2 – Project Execution: Students will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.

Phase 3 - Outcome - Report and Presentation: Students will submit a detailed 15-page report on the outcomes of the project. Teams will also present this in the last class. Organizations are provided with the presentation slides and final report, and are invited to schedule a time to meet with the team for follow-up.

Exemples de projets

Starting this January, a group of four business students will spend approximately 400 hours cumulatively over the course of the semester collaborating with your organization to address your commercialization challenges.

Based on your goals and needs, student-consultants will follow a structured process to address your opportunity or challenge.

Areas of focus can include, but are not limited to:

  • Surveying potential customers and talking with focus groups.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential customer profiles and markets.
  • Developing value propositions and use cases for specific market segments.
  • Conducting value chain analysis and auditing partner profiles.
  • Developing a competitive matrix.
  • Validating business models.
  • Developing marketing materials and collateral for investor presentations.

Les entreprises doivent répondre aux questions suivantes pour soumettre une demande de jumelage pour cette expérience:

  • Q1 - Case à cocher
    Minimum of 2-4 interactions with the students in-person or remotely (approximately 4-6 hours over the duration of the project).
  • Q2 - Case à cocher
    Be present for the first half of the second class (morning of Jan 16 in Surrey) to pitch your idea (10 min max) to the students.
  • Q3 - Case à cocher
    Provide a dedicated contact who can answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address student’s questions.
  • Q4 - Case à cocher
    Be available for a 1-hour interview (virtual, phone, or in person) to kick off the project and share background information with the student(s).
  • Q5 - Case à cocher
    Be available for a quick phone call with the organizer to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.
