We would like to work with students to design and develop a new web application for our Social Enterprise Startup - Carib.Farm.

Students should be prepared to:

  • Support prototype production release in a Linux-based environment, so VPS skills are required.
  • Software design and development skills, knowledge of frameworks and specifically knowledge of PHP and desirable Laravel.
  • Develop application testing to minimize bugs.
  • Develop new features according to schedule.
  • Knowledge of database modelling, specifically MySQL.
  • Working with JavaScript and some frameworks (Vue, React, Livewire) to improve the user experience.
  • Find and fix bugs in the code when in production.
  • Work collaboratively with other developers in the development of the application. Using GIT.
  • Implement external services through API's.
  • Monitoring the application to identify and propose improvements. 
  • Develop and maintain the roadmap.


Mentorat

Students will connect directly with the project manager/lead for mentorship and supervision throughout the project

We will have regular weekly 1on1 and Team virtual meetings that students are 

required to attend.
