We want to introduce on the go recycling bins in the City -initially in high footfall areas and also in Parks.

Livrables

a.What works well in other Local Authorities who have similar make up to Brighton& Hove e.g. high visitor numbers, night-time economy, student population.

b.Do they have the same bins/systems in the City as in Parks?

c.What materials do they recycle e.g. do they include glass, do they have separate containers for coffee cups?

d.How do they collect the rubbish in Parks where access is limited and a refuse or recycling vehicles can’t access. How do they collect the refuse and recycling separately without using a split back refuse/recycling vehicle?

e.What works well and what works less well with on the go recycling.

f.What lessons have been learnt from introducing on the go recycling.

g.What are the contamination rates –have these gone down over time? If they have how did they achieve this and what has their communication strategy been?

h.How will we future proof on the go recycling –specifically if we have to separate out different materials
