Oceanic Impact, a social enterprise focused on having a positive impact on our ocean, is planning to pivot into the field of environmental education. To enhance their educational outreach, the not-for-profit, Oceanic Impact Foundation, needs a comprehensive market research study focused on environmental education. The goal of this project is to identify key trends, target demographics, and effective educational strategies within the environmental education sector. By understanding the current market landscape, the foundation aims to develop more impactful and engaging educational programs. This project will involve analyzing existing educational materials, surveying potential audiences, and identifying gaps and opportunities in the market.



Key tasks include:


- Identifying and analyzing market trends in environmental education & their funding sources.


- Profiling potential target audiences and their needs.


- Conducting a competitive analysis of existing players in the market & their funding/sales strategy.


- Recommending strategic actions based on research findings.

We focus on waste and litter reduction and elimination through education, empowerment, and enablement. We provide up-to-date science-backed information coupled with tangible actions to help raise awareness on litter and its potential impacts. We provide emotional support to address eco-anxiety through mentorship, positive messaging through social media, and various other programs to empower and increase the audience's sense of agency to act. Finally, we enable individuals to act by providing them with tools to take action against litter while adhering to accessibility, equity, and diversity principles to maximize participation.
