Hope Land Congo - Canada Inc. is an no-profit organization committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, innovation, green entrepreneurship and the environment (climate change, sustainable development, etc.) in Canada. We are the Canadian branch of the Hope Land Congo organization, which operates in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Hope Land Congo Canada Inc.'s mandate is to mobilize resources and create strategic partnerships, both in Canada and internationally, to support initiatives in Canada and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The organization is committed to improving the well-being of local communities and promoting sustainable development focused on the empowerment of young women, environmental protection and economic development.
Our mission is to build a sustainable future by training leaders, supporting sustainable agriculture, and creating opportunities for collaboration between diverse regions and economic players.
We aim to strengthen the impact of our activities in Canada, the DRC and Africa by obtaining technical, financial and human support for initiatives that promote the well-being of local populations, youth empowerment, environmental protection and sustainable economic development.
We strive to create a solid network of partnerships, both in Canada and internationally, through targeted advocacy in support of concrete initiatives in Canada and the DRC.
Our main objective is to create a significant impact in the protection and preservation of the environment, while promoting sustainable development through the protection of natural resources and related activities.
Our secondary objective is to actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Africa by working closely with various partners to achieve our common goals.

Contexte et objectifs Hope Land Congo Canada Inc. propose de créer un projet sur une initiative novatrice dans le cadre de son sous-programme Agrivolontaire-CAN , en alignement avec les priorités du Fonds des solutions climatiques axées sur la nature (FSCAN) . L’objectif principal du projet est de convertir des terres agricoles dédiées aux cultures annuelles en cultures pérennes ou prairies indigènes pour maximiser les bénéfices environnementaux et sociaux. Agrivolontaire-CAN est une sous programme de Agrovolontaire International, un programme de volontariat en agriculture durable. Ce programme vise à mobiliser des volontaires compétents pour partager leurs expertises et travailler en solidarité avec les communautés locales, les entrepreneurs agricoles et les organisations partenaires pour promouvoir des pratiques agricoles durables. Agrivolontaire-CAN (Canada) est une initiative déployée à l’échelle nationale pour soutenir les travailleurs, entrepreneurs et membres des communautés rurales du Canada dans leurs efforts de développement agroalimentaire. Elle encourage des actions de volontariat visant à répondre aux besoins spécifiques de chaque région, comme l’implémentation de pratiques agricoles durables, l’amélioration des infrastructures rurales, et le soutien à la transition écologique dans le secteur agroalimentaire et du climatique. Objectif principales du projet : Convertir des terres agricoles dédiées aux cultures annuelles en cultures pérennes ou prairies indigènes pour maximiser les bénéfices environnementaux et sociaux. Objectifs spécifiques : Réduction des émissions de GES : Transition vers des pratiques agricoles à faible intensité carbone pour favoriser la séquestration du carbone. Réduction des émissions associées à l’agriculture intensive. Amélioration de la biodiversité : Restauration d’habitats naturels et promotion d’écosystèmes résilients. Renforcement des communautés rurales : Mobilisation de volontaires pour renforcer les capacités des entrepreneurs agricoles et encourager des pratiques durables. Contribution à la conservation : Soutenir l’objectif du Canada de conserver 30 % des terres d’ici 2030 (Cadre Kunming-Montréal). Activités prévues (2025-2028) 1ère année : 1er avril 2025 – 31 mars 2026 Évaluation des sites pour identifier 50 hectares à convertir. Organisation de 5 ateliers de formation pour agriculteurs et volontaires. Transition des terres agricoles : plantation de cultures pérennes et restauration des prairies indigènes. 2ème année : 1er avril 2026 – 31 mars 2027 Extension à 75 hectares supplémentaires. Renforcement des partenariats communautaires pour maximiser la participation locale. Poursuite des activités de formation et introduction de technologies de suivi écologique. 3ème année : 1er avril 2027 – 31 mars 2028 Conversion finale de 100 hectares cumulés. Mise en œuvre d’un plan à long terme pour garantir la durabilité. Documentation des bonnes pratiques pour les futures initiatives similaires.
