Data Analysis in Action
This experience offers learners the opportunity to apply their data analysis skills in real-world scenarios, guided by two experienced professors. Participants will work collaboratively to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. By engaging with industry projects, learners will enhance their ability to translate classroom knowledge into practical solutions, preparing them for future roles in data-driven environments. These students are the top 5% business department students of the GBC.
HR Analytics Project Collaboration
The Postgraduate HR Analytics Program at George Brown College equips learners with the skills to analyze and evaluate HR processes, such as performance management, recruitment, and compensation analytics. Students will work in teams of 1-4 and spend 240 hours per student to understand and tackle the problem of your choosing. Students will provide a document and presentation summarizing their findings as well as provide knowledge transfer to your organization. In terms of the students' interests in placements, they are looking for opportunities in product support, project coordinator, business analyst (gathering requirements, workflow design, and improvement), QA tester, training users in HIT, and privacy analyst. They are open to other opportunities as well.

Overall Info: Welcome to George Brown College's Experiential Learning Program, where we bridge the gap between academia and industry by offering students hands-on experiences with real-world projects. Our MGMT4103 course focuses on Supply Chain Management, a critical aspect of modern business operations. Our students are eager to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical situations, under the mentorship of industry professionals like yourself. This course is a field focused, student centric project. Students learn through applied field-experience, being designated as a Supply Chain Analyst for a real-world client. Steps for Matching: Step 1: Match Request Submission: As an employer, you'll submit a match request outlining your project. We'll then schedule a video call to discuss the project's suitability and alignment with our learning objectives. Step 2: Pre-Approval: Upon mutual agreement, both parties will confirm the match on the Riipen platform, marking the project as pre-approved. Step 3: Students Choosing: The pre-approved project will be made available for our students to select based on their interests and skills. Step 4: Collaboration Starts: All communication and collaboration will be facilitated through the Riipen platform, ensuring transparency and efficiency. Ideal Partner: We're seeking partners from volunteer placement activities within community, government, or private organizations. Ideal projects involve real-world challenges that align with our course objectives and provide students with valuable learning opportunities.
